Advanced Nitrox
This course examines the use of EAN 21
through 100% (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of 40msw. The objective
of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper
procedures for utilising EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring
staged decompression.
Advanced Nitrox - Training Prerequisites
- · Be a minimum age of fifteen
(15), 18 when run in conjunction with Decompression Procedures
- · Minimum certification of TDI
Nitrox Diver or equivalent
- · Must be Nitrox certified (or
can be run together).
- · Show proof of 25 logged dives.
- Advanced Nitrox - Minimum Equipment
Prerequisites
- · Must have twin primary tanks
(volume appropriate for planned dives and either independent or manifold
with appropriate SPG(s)). Primary tanks fitted with two 1st and 2nd
stages and contents gauge.
- · Appropriate BCD.
- · SMB and reel with 15m of 3mm
line (tube style - colour orange).
- · Appropriate thermal protection.
- · Two depth gauge and bottom
timers (or two computers or computer with 2nd depth gauge and bottom
timer).
- · Compass, wrist slate and pocket
slate.
- · Primary mask and backup mask.
- · Primary torch and backup torch.
- · Single sling tank fitted with
1st and 2nd stages and SPG suitable for use with mixtures of up to 100%
oxygen and properly labeled.
