the weather forecast has been ‘hit n miss’ all week and hard to read. So we were pleasantly surprised at how good the conditions were this morning as we drove down to Portsea, although the  strong winds produced some slop at the surface, once we descended, the conditions below were unaffected by those topside. Our second dive was The Grotto, this is always a spectacular site with lots of different rock formations, bommies, overhangs and gullies. The fish life is abundant here as well, the Leatherjackets were particularly inquisitive today, with a couple of them almost blocking our path. We wanted to have the best possibly profile so we chose to ascend up over the wall half way in to our dive, which meant we missed some of what the Grotto has to offer. There is always next time 🙂
