Dive the world famous President Coolidge, once upon a time she was the largest accessible shipwreck in the world, At 654 feet (198metres) long and over 21,000 tons, this has to be one of the worlds best shore dives. This wreck caters to all divers from the novice Advanced Open water diver to hardened Trimix tekkies. Starting in 18metres of water, there is a weeks worth of diving on the outside of the ship before you even think about wanting to penetrate the ship, but those that do – are in for a real treat. With 5 deck levels of cabins, engine room, etc.,7 cargo holds and many many more areas to visit don’t expect to see it all in one trip.
Sunk in 1942 by their own mine field mine, this luxury liner was converted into a troop carry for the American Army, with over 5000 troops on board when she sank.
