Flinders Pier – Saturday 9th December 2017

Divers: Kevin, Kim, Sara, Jason, Ben, Victor, Rudi, Vinnie, Mark Robo, Nic, Andrew & Mark
Surface support: Elisabeth

With a strong westerly wind forecast, Flinders was always going to be the pick of the dive sites for Saturday. It also just happened to be the Great Victorian Fish Count weekend, and we had some of our best ichthyologist on the job. Armed with Fish ID slates our divers entered the water after being well briefed by both Mark Robo & Nic. The conditions could not have been better, with flat water and 15 metre viz the water was bubbling with the mount of divers. We were keen to find the Flinders Pier icons – Weedy Sea Dragons & a Bull Ray, and we fortune enough to find both, this along with a really nice lunch made for a very nice mornings dive.
