Yet again, the forecast wasn’t great & the conditions weren’t suitable for outside dives. Our ‘standard operating procedure’ is to train under the pier & work on honing our skills, & Mornington is a great pier for training. Parking is always available, the gear carry is very short & at 12m, the depth is the deepest of all the piers.  We spent 60minutes practicing our buoyancy & trim, with a few mask removals, stage tank switches & SMBs deployment. Despite the rain lately, the viz was about 6-8metres. We are now well in to Spring & the temperature (water & ambient) will soon start to increase – hopefully :).
