Strong South/Westerlies producing 5m waves prevented us from getting out through the Heads to dive our preferred sites of Canberra & J4 Sub. But we were able to make the most of it & dived Portsea Hole first & then a drift dive along Nepean Bay. Both of which were well protected from the S/W wind. Portsea Hole has a great reef between 14-22 metres, as s slack water dive we have plenty of time to gently swim along the wall & shine our torches under the ledges that hide the vast array of fish life that live at the Hole. Drift dives are always nice & relaxing & very enjoyable when done well, we started of dive not too far from Portsea Front Beach and drifted on the Ebb tide towards the Heads.
