Rye Pier – 5th March 2017

Divers: Jason, Michelle, Brad, Will, Renee  & Mark

What fantastic dive conditions we had once again, the sea was as flat as a tack, the viz was 15 plus!! and the water temperature was 20 degrees. Rye Pier is just one of many great training sites that we are blessed with in Melbourne. It has more than enough to enthuse the newer diver. We did two dives here today, both dives had separate Bull rays visit us, one Ray was swimming a metre from us and he either didn’t know or just didn’t care that we were there. I’m assuming from Renee’s reaction that she hasn’t seen a Ray up that close before. The fish life was amazing with several Seahorses to be found, juvenile fish by the hundreds, Leather Jackets, Puffer Fish and lots more.
