It has been some time since we ran a scallop drift, so when it was suggested we do it & then cook & eat our catch the team were all for it. The conditions were perfect & by all reports there were plenty of scallops to be collected. However that wasn’t the case when the divers dropped on to the bottom, the scallops were scarce, however, they were there albeit scattered & our team managed to collect enough to get a good feed. Once shucked & cleaned we then washed the ‘lower valve’ & along with a dollop of garlic butter was used to cook the fish on the bbq. I had forgotten just how good fresh scallops in garlic butter is 🙂
