We had planned to do our boat dives on Sunday, however, a quick look at the forecast soon had us changing to Saturday. This proofed to be a very prudent move, conditions were great as we motored out through the Heads, a bit of wind chop had the surface condition a little bit sloppy but over all it was very pleasant. Spec Reef is difficult to get to dive as it is heavily reliant on there being no shipping. However today we were lucky & the reef certainly lived up to its name, With the shot line in a A1 position, 5m from the wall, this allowed us to maximise our bottom time, with no long swims to get to the action. The J4 Sub dive was also a great dive, after visiting all of the usual parts of the sub, we ended our dive at the stern, then preparing for our ascent. Today we had two very cruisy dives, good viz, water temp was 19 degrees and we finished early enough for a bite of lunch 🙂
