| Standard dress diving is one of the safest methods of diving in the world. It has been successfully used far longer than modern SCUBA and has a history, which dates back nearly 200 years. The standard dress diver is subject to the same physiological effects of pressure that effect the SCUBA diver. Dive planning must be carried out in the same way as other sport diving. |

Requirements
- Must be a qualified Openwater diver or equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age with a parent or guardian authorization, or a minimum of 18 years without
- Must have physical strength and fitness to walk ten steps and climb a ten step ladder in full standard diving dress.
