Light winds and a slight  swell made for ideal surface conditions as we headed out to the ships’ graveyard for our dive on the Waratea. Underwater conditions were also excellent with 20m viz and little current. The Waratea is always a great dive with plenty to see including the prop, rudder and boiler. Our bottom time is up all too soon and after completing our ascent thoughts turn to lunch at the Rye pub.
