Divers: Liam, Wayne, Myles, Evan, Bec, Ed & Mark
In typical Melbourne weather fashion, after yesterdays wintery conditions, today is almost perfect diving weather. The viz at Devil’s was not that great, about 5metres, but we are on a fantastic part of the wall & as we drop down to 30m it becomes clear that we on a really exciting part of the wall. There are plenty of ledges, overhangs & swim throughs, unfortunately we don’t have long at 30 metres and so we need to start our ascent. Our second dive was a drift dive along the Quarantine Area off Point Nepean. The excitement of doing a drift dive is that you never know what you are going to find over the next ridge. I found a nice bottle & Evan found a really interesting piece of coal, most likely of one of the steam ship that sunk in this area.
