Hobart – 14th – 25th April 2022

The Team: Gary, Denise, Leo, Susan, Youri, Rose, Vikki & Mark

After persevering Melbourne’s CoVid lock down, and not being able to travel over seas, some of the team that had been diving at Eaglehawk Neck over Easter decided to travel to Hobart to spend a week of sight seeing, eating & drinking.
Barilla Bay Oysters, the Drunken Admiral, the Orient Hotel, The Brick Factory just to name a few of the eateries we visited. Of course no visit to Hobart is compete with out a trip to ‘Mona’ and we had our tickets booked well in advance. We also had a couple of day trips arranged. A cruise around the Derwent River departing from Constitution Dock, a trip to Huon Valley where the day included a tour of wooden boat building, several wineries and of course &  Willie Smiths Apple Shed. The one day everyone was looking forward to was our Eat the Wild tour. A full day of visiting wineries and we sampled the wines, our host Josh (trained chef) was cooking a meal, from the back of his specially built van, to match the wines we are drinking.  Thank you to everyone that came to Tassie, i’m always amazed at just how easy going & fun our divers are to be around.
