It’s been a while since we have been able to do tech dives, however with both the ambient temperature and the water temperature starting to drop the numbers of divers on the boats are also staring to drop. Therefore the charter operators appreciate the fact that tech divers with their dry suits, will continue to dive all year round. The Fawkner was a Steam Hopper Barge scuttled in 1935. In the 1880s she was fitted with a magazine, shell room and protective plating. She could take a 6’ gun. Becoming an auxiliary vessel for the Victorian Navy.
