With a slight swell rolling through down at the end of pier & the viz down to about 4 metres at best, enthusiasm was low as we stood in the cold and wet, discussing our dive plan. However, we were all there for a reason, new equipment, gaining experience with old equipment or just preparing for some up coming training so we were getting in the water and getting the job done. Everyone agreed once we had finished the dive that it was well worth the effort of getting out bed early on a Sunday morning and doing the dive. Aquability have some of the best tech divers in Melbourne & the reason for this is they do get out bed on a cold wintery day and put in the effort to do the practice under the pier, so when it comes time to do the big dives they are well prepared, well, that and the fact that they all love a good counter lunch and a few drinks afterwards gets them out of bed.
