Mornington Pier – Saturday 29th April 2023

Divers: Tim, Youri, Stephen, Pete and Mark.

Our trip to King Island was cancelled because the airline didn’t have a pilot! and our wreck dives were cancelled due to the 3 metres swells. So we decided to do a skills dive at Mornington Pier, where the conditions were quite good given the amount of rain that fell last night, about 6-8 meter viz, smooth water & 17 degrees.
The 11 Arm Sea Stars seem to be very dominant, with only one Northern Pacific Sea Star being sighted. Overall I think the amount of aquatic life at Mornington is very healthy and plenty to keep everyone amused.  High tide made getting in & out very easy, overall a very pleasant morning dive, just made better by breakfast at Lilo 🙂
